The first step in seeking a student’s admission to Heartland
Christian Academy is to complete and submit a registration form
to the academy. There are several factors involved in processing
the registrations forms. Therefore, applicants might not be informed
of specifics regarding qualified admission or position on the waiting
list at the time of submitting their application. Processing time
will usually take less than one week after all requested information
has been supplied.
Admission
policy requires the following before a student is considered for
admission:
- A
copy of the student’s most recent report card must be
attached to the Registration Form. Admission applications will
not be processed without this.
-
Before interviewing a child for Kindergarten, evidence will
be required that the child has attained
the age at which he/she should be admitted in accordance with
Florida State Law 232.2 and 232.04.
- A
birth certificate must be part of all student records in grades
K-3 and up.
Exceptions to the age requirements are made with administrative
approval only.
- The
parent must schedule a student and parent interview with the
school principal,
assistant principal, or a designated administrator. Interviews
can be scheduled through the school office (407-847-5184).
-
The parents and student must read and sign the Harmony Agreement.

PLEASE
NOTE: Admission candidates are required to have a satisfactory conduct
record and have achieved a grade point average of 2.0 (based on
a 4.0 grade point scale) or better throughout their last academic
year.
This is a non-negotiable
minimum standard. Students will not be granted admission with the
hopes of improving their behavior or academic achievement. Under
the most stringent of circumstances, a student with unsatisfactory
grades may be accepted to repeat their current grade IF
they have demonstrated satisfactory conduct.
Students will be required to maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point
average and satisfactory conduct. Heartland Christian Academy reserves
the right to dismiss any student demonstrating poor conduct and/or
grades.
With these prerequisites met, parents will receive notification
of their child’s status concerning acceptance into Heartland
Christian Academy.
Re-enrollment
Each year it is necessary for parents to re-enroll their children
for the upcoming school year. Early re-enrollment is necessary to
secure a space in the class of the student’s next grade. Re-enrollment
for the following school year will be offered exclusively to currently
enrolled students for just a few designated weeks. At an announced
date, enrollment for the following school year will be open to both
currently enrolled students and the general public.
Letters will be sent to the parents of currently enrolled students
announcing re-enrollment time, including forms and information regarding
changes in tuition or enrollment procedures.
In order to secure a student’s space in the school, the registration
fee is due upon re-enrollment and is non-refundable. Also, accounts
must be current before re-enrollment is allowed.
